-- Americana music combining humor and passion with strong vocals

Hailing from Austin's city limits, Greg Upton has brought the energy and spirit of one of America's hottest musical environments to Los Angeles. It is here that Buckeleven was created.

Already receiving critical acclaim, the band currently plays the LA club scene and surrounding areas promoting their debut effort, DELAYED GRATIFICATION. This beautifully eclectic album was independently released in the spring of 2000.

Although this is a relatively new band, veteran singer/songwriter Greg Upton has a long track record of live performances that have taken him up and down the West coast, and through parts of Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Texas. He has received rave reviews from Music Connection, L.A. Weekly, and Rock City News. Buckeleven currently has a good size following and local street team helping to create a buzz throughout Southern California.

Upton has assembled an immensely talented group of musicians to go out and share this music. Trent Fancher plays drums; Cary Richard Beare on lead guitar, (both of these guys have recently moved to California from Nashville, Tennessee. Andrew Martin plays bass. For many of the larger venues, Buckeleven is proud to include Kate Brandt (violinist) and Chaz Smith on Pedal Steel.

This music is best classified Americana. The sound is definitely rock with a hint of country. Fresh lyrical themes find their way into a diverse landscape of influence such as, Van Morrison, Crowded House, and Wilco. His melodic ballads are reminiscent of Lyle Lovett or Chris Isaac.
