My songs are very personal. They're about what's happened to me and what's happened to my friends and my family. They're my response to everything around me.
There's also a story behind all my songs. So I use the appropriate instrument to create the appropriate sound to paint the appropriate mood to tell the story. That's why Inside the Red Room features everything from electric and acoustic guitar to soulful rhythm sections to touches of sax, viola, and even accordion.
